Building Lives in Christ Together

Whether you’re a new Christian, or have a strong intimate relationship with Jesus, you’re welcome here!

Trauma to Triumph Ministries is a multi-faceted outreach and resource to the rescued victims from human trafficking and the children and families within our community representing “people at risk” that we now “call at potential” because of the damage negative labeling does to a child.

Our target community is abused children, foster care children who have no family to return to, human trafficking victims, orphans, and children from dysfunctional families, the courts and mental health.

Our vision is to create a community of people whose lives will be touched and redeemed by the love we will show them while living in a safe and secure working ranch environment.

Monica Deller Peters

In early 2020 after she wrote several articles on human trafficking, cases started crossing her desk and emails asking her for help from parents that had had their children kidnapped into human trafficking or families who had their children removed wrongly by Child Protections.

Monica Deller Peters founded Bridge of Hope Ministries International in 1998. After many years of filling 40′ containers with medical, educational and many other needed supplies Monica decided to take the ministry in a new direction, her passion, helping children and families.

After fostering 70 children and working with their families, Monica knew firsthand how the kids fell through the cracks and how a flawed system failed them and their families.

Monica took her knowledge and experience and developed a program she believes is a unique one of a kind that meets the needs of the whole person.  Along with the youth program, Monica has developed three other step by step programs that advance todays troubled youth and those rescued from human trafficking.

Monica’s son took over the leadership of BOHMI and Monica immigrated to New Mexico, USA. After a life changing happening, she felt led to move to South Texas.

The Great Commission

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.

17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19 Go [c]therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, evento the end of the age.”

Meet Our Founder

Monica Deller Peters is the Founder & CEO of Trauma to Triumph Ministries and the kids portion of the ministry T2T Chosen Kids. Monica and her husband James have a passion for kids and animals.

Welcome to Trauma to Triumph and T2T Chosen Kids. We thankful and grateful that you are visiting and hope you will join our community. There’s much to be done and much that you could participate in with one of our projects.

My passion for this ministry was birthed from my own trauma and life experiences that birthed in me such a program to help other kids who have or are experiencing trauma or who are in crisis. God has blessed me and this ministry that he birthed in my heart. We’re excited about what the future holds.

Today we care for 22 horses which includes ponies and 2 donkeys. 2 Alpacas, 6 mini goats and goat kids with more on the way, 2 sultana tortoises, peacocks.

Look what the Lord has done!

Dr Richard Neel

Dr. Richard Neel will be a guest speaker during the 2024 Ranch Rodeo.

Dr. Richard L. Neel, MD, MPH is from Lake Jackson, Texas, and is a fifth-generation Texan. He currently lives in Bulverde, Texas with his wife, Marisa.

Dr. Neel received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.  He has a Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) from Harvard University and took courses in occupational and environmental law at MIT.  He completed his residency in Aerospace Medicine at Brooks Air Force Base and a fellowship in Occupational Medicine at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio.  Dr. Neel is Board Certified in Aerospace Medicine and served over twenty years as a Chief Flight Surgeon in the US Air Force before retiring at the rank of Colonel.

During his Air Force career, he was stationed in Europe for over eight years.  In addition to his flight surgeon duties, he served as the Chief of Executive Medicine for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the former Eastern Bloc countries. In this capacity, he served as the personal physician for many US Ambassadors, Flag Officers and Senior State Department personnel.

He led emergency medical response teams for the NASA space shuttle emergency landing sites in Spain, Morocco and The Gambia.  Dr Neel deployed numerous times in his career for combat operations throughout the Middle East and in Bosnia.

His service included time as a squadron commander, expeditionary clinic commander and air transportable hospital commander.  He completed flight training at Randolph Air Force Base and has over a thousand hours of flight time in fighters, tankers, transports and helicopters including more than 25 combat missions.

He completed the long course in aircraft mishap investigations at USC and served as the medical board member for six full Air Force aircraft mishap investigation boards, as well as numerous interim boards.  He discovered two separate design flaws in the F-16 and one in the F-4 that resulted in engineering redesigns of the jets and exonerated at least nine pilots whose mishaps had been blamed on pilot error by previous boards.

He also discovered human factor issues that led to a change in air operations for Desert Storm and to write ups in several safety magazines.  While stationed in England, he flew in the helicopter rescue of 32 people who were stranded on a sinking tanker 300 miles off the northern coast of Ireland.  The 12 hour mission was the longest recorded air-sea rescue in history at that time and included air refueling five times in a North Atlantic hurricane.  His final assignment in the Air Force was as Chief of Medical Force Protection for Headquarters Air Force Security Forces.

Part of this job entailed researching countermeasures for chemical, biological and radiological weapons while serving on a global anti-terrorism team. On September 11, 2001, he led an Air Force emergency medical response team at the Pentagon.

In his post-Air Force career, Dr. Neel has worked in San Antonio and the surrounding areas as a specialist in hyperbaric medicine and wound care, and as Area Medical Director for a national company of occupational and urgent care clinics.

He is currently co-owner and CEO of Alsatian Care Enterprises where he continues his practice of emergency, urgent care and family medicine.

Caregiver to the Therapeutic Animals

If you’re curious about my journey, it’s been quite an adventure, and honestly, a huge part of who I am today comes from navigating some pretty significant challenges along the way. Those experiences really built up a strong foundation of resilience within me. They’ve profoundly shaped my whole approach to life, teaching me deep lessons about sticking with things and finding that inner strength when times get tough.

You know, going through adversity, even dealing with some really hard stuff, actually made me a much more empathetic person. It solidified my commitment to being personally strong and overcoming obstacles. Instead of letting those tough moments weigh me down, I’ve really learned to see them as powerful springboards for personal growth and gaining new insights.

And it’s not just about internal struggles! Navigating tricky interpersonal dynamics also sharpened my observational skills and gave me a super clear perspective on what really makes relationships work. It absolutely hammered home how incredibly vital trust and genuine connection are in any interaction. That’s why I truly thrive in environments that value peace, honesty, and authentic engagement.

When I need to clear my head, recharge my batteries, or just feel grounded, my go-to is always spending time in nature and with animals. It’s an amazing source of clarity and helps me keep everything in a balanced perspective.

On the academic front, I’m super proud to have earned my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and Science. This was a huge personal milestone, especially because I achieved it while juggling quite a few personal circumstances. It really reflects my unwavering dedication and shows I can meet my goals, even when faced with substantial hurdles.

Through everything, I’ve found my personal and professional path is deeply guided by a strong spiritual compass and an enduring sense of hope. My past has definitely played a massive role in shaping me, but now I see it as a powerful testament to my continuous growth and the fact that I’m actively steering my own ship.

I’m genuinely excited about what’s next and fully invested in shaping my future. I’m driven by a commitment to living with courage, embracing authenticity, and always, always striving for continuous personal and professional development.

Juan Estrada was born in Eagle Pass, Texas, and has spent most of his life in South Texas. Drawn to the ranching lifestyle from a young age, he grew up working on several ranches in pursuit of his dream of becoming a real cowboy.
